1 Provider and contact
My Budget Control (MBC) is provided by Cenulinq, a sole proprietorship with Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 42186920 and VAT identification number NL005565745B41. Our correspondence address is Omroepweg 11, postvak 8562, 1324 KT Almere, Netherlands. Our website is https://cenulinq.com.
Send general enquiries to info@cenulinq.com and support, complaints, payment and privacy enquiries to support@cenulinq.com. Our business WhatsApp channel is https://wa.me/31644550770, Monday to Friday, 10:00–17:00 Netherlands time. You can request a callback by email. You can also contact us through our official social channels.
2 What MBC provides
MBC helps you record income, expenses, categories, recurring items and savings. Overviews and calculations follow your entries. MBC does not independently read your bank account or make payments for budget items. A calculated balance is therefore not a balance confirmed by your bank. Features and technical requirements are described with the version offered.
The app does not give personal financial, tax or legal advice. Calculations do not guarantee savings or prevent debt. This does not reduce our duty to provide the agreed service properly.
3 Your account and safe use
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into the agreement. Register with your own email address and confirm it. Provide accurate information, use a unique password and keep your sign-in details private. Contact support@cenulinq.com promptly if you suspect misuse.
Use MBC lawfully. Do not disrupt the service, bypass security or try to access other people's data. Any permitted shared use must be expressly offered by the service.
4 Your agreement
These terms are offered for reading and saving before you enter into the agreement. Paid access arises only through your express order. Creating an account or opening the app is not a payment instruction.
Before payment you see the features, total price, duration, any renewal, and cancellation and withdrawal information. We confirm the order and terms in a form you can keep. Later website wording does not automatically change your existing agreement.
5 Prices and payment
Regular web prices are €1.99 for one month and €18.99 for one year, including VAT. Mandatory charges are shown beforehand. An app-store purchase or another payment currency may have a different price; the price shown before your confirmation applies. Your budget currency preference does not change the agreed purchase price.
Web payments use Stripe; store purchases use Apple or Google. The relevant provider handles your payment method. The same agreed purchase does not create a double payment obligation. A revised price list does not change an already confirmed price for a current period.
6 The free trial
The trial lasts thirty days, or 720 hours. It begins when the server accepts your express start request with a confirmed email address. Registration alone does not start it. The app shows the end date. You receive one trial per account; the same email address cannot start another trial for twelve months from the original trial start, even after account deletion.
During the trial you can maintain and synchronise your budget. Backup download and restoration and budget PDF export require paid access; PDF export is offered only on the web. The trial does not automatically lead to payment. Without a valid trial or paid period, changes may be blocked while existing data remains stored. The trial is separate from your statutory withdrawal period.
7 Duration and renewal
On the web you purchase a one-off month or year. It ends on the confirmed date and does not renew automatically. A further period requires a new order. Choosing a month or year preference beforehand is not an order.
An Apple or Google subscription renews and is charged under the store terms shown beforehand unless cancelled in time. Manage it through your store account. The free MBC trial does not start a paid store subscription; that requires a separately confirmed store purchase. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply.
7a Prices and terms for a further period
Cenulinq may propose a different price or revised terms for a further period. The agreed price for your current paid period stays the same until its end. We do not apply new prices or terms retrospectively to that period.
We notify you at least thirty days before the intended next period, or earlier if law or store rules require longer. You receive the new price or terms, effective date and options to decline or cancel in a form you can keep. If the notice period cannot be met, the change is postponed.
You may decline the next period on the revised terms and let the agreement end on the agreed date. With Apple or Google, turn off renewal in time; we help you find the management route. A new web period requires your express order again. Where consent is required, we do not implement the change without it.
Statutory rights to cancel earlier or after the initial fixed term remain. Apple and Google notification and consent rules also apply. This clause does not restrict necessary free security updates or other mandatory consumer rights.
8 Cancellation and the end of access
A one-off web period ends automatically. You can use the available management option or support@cenulinq.com for cancellation requests. We confirm receipt and the end date. Store renewals are managed through Apple or Google. An agreement entered into online does not require cancellation exclusively by telephone.
Paid access normally continues until the confirmed end date. Signing out, uninstalling the app or requesting account deletion does not automatically stop a store subscription. We explain the management steps needed. Withdrawal and termination for failure to perform remain separate options.
Where Dutch consumer subscription rules apply, you can cancel at any time after the first fixed term with no more than one month's notice. An annual prepayment after automatic renewal does not remove that right. We arrange the legally correct end date and refund of overpayments, through the store where necessary. More favourable mandatory rights in your country remain.
8a Closure and winding down
If the business is loss-making and a wind-down decision is made, Cenulinq may stop offering new periods and renewals. We then prevent further sales and renewals. For existing paid periods, we continue agreed features, support and necessary security updates until the agreed end date.
We announce a planned closure at least 31 days in advance by email and in the app or on the website. We explain the reason, date, effect on your paid period, refunds and a free way to take your data with you. Any longer required notice or existing paid term remains applicable.
We discuss proposals for early termination and repayment of the remaining time individually with each customer. Under this wind-down arrangement, early termination requires your consent. You are free to refuse. If you do, the agreed service, support and necessary updates continue until your paid term ends, without a penalty or loss of rights.
For agreed early termination, we refund the actual price paid for unused time proportionately, without deducting our payment or store fees. For web refunds we use the original payment method, unless you agree to another method without cost. We make web refunds within fourteen days of termination, or earlier where law requires. Store purchases follow the store process, with our assistance. Before closure you can obtain a usable copy of your data free of charge, even without a paid backup feature. We explain availability and deletion dates. This arrangement does not itself allow us to shorten your paid period for losses or winding down without consent; statutory claims remain.
9 Cooling-off period and withdrawal
As a consumer entering into an online agreement for our digital service, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw, starting when the agreement is concluded. You do not need a reason. A longer statutory period takes precedence.
Send a clear statement to support@cenulinq.com, use the model form below or visit https://cenulinq.com/withdrawal.html. The online form works without signing in and provides an on-screen confirmation and downloadable receipt. We also acknowledge receipt on a durable medium. The form is optional, and submitting a request does not mean a refund has already been made.
If service starts during the cooling-off period at your express request, a proportionate charge for the part supplied is possible only under the legal conditions and after the required prior information and consent. Using the app alone does not waive withdrawal rights. For a valid withdrawal, we refund the amount due within fourteen days of receipt using the same payment method, unless you agree to a different method without cost. A store may process refunds for store purchases; statutory rights remain.
10 Operation, support and updates
We provide the agreed digital service and updates needed to keep it working properly and securely for the applicable period. Install necessary updates promptly after being informed. We handle reported faults with care.
Maintenance and outages may temporarily affect availability. We inform you where reasonably possible and limit the effects. A supplier problem does not automatically release us from our obligations. Statutory rights to repair, price reduction, termination and refunds remain if the service does not conform to the agreement.
11 Changes during use
Besides necessary security and legal changes, technical changes may be needed to maintain compatibility or appropriately replace an unavailable component. These changes cost you nothing extra and are clearly communicated.
Where EU digital-service rules apply, we give reasonable advance notice on a durable medium of changes with more than a minor adverse effect. We explain the change, timing and right to terminate free of charge. You may terminate within thirty days of the information or change, whichever is later. This right does not apply where you can keep the unchanged, conforming service without additional cost. Other mandatory rights remain. Section 7a governs new prices and terms.
12 Your data and personal backups
You retain rights in the data you enter. We process it to provide MBC as explained in the privacy notice. Synchronisation between devices is different from keeping your own backup file.
The downloadable JSON file contains the budget currently available in the app, including saved months, entries, categories and savings. Check that your budget is up to date before making a copy. It is not a complete copy of your account or payment records. A PDF is a readable overview, not a file for restoring your budget.
Paid access provides backup download and restoration; PDF export is web-only. These features are restricted during the trial. An export route may remain available after web access expires following an earlier confirmed payment. Restoration also requires valid permission to change data. Keep your own files securely. Supplier backups do not promise recovery of every file or change within a fixed time. Legal rights to access and a copy do not depend on payment. We handle deletion requests under the privacy notice and explain any legally required retention.
13 Software and AI app help
You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence while your access lasts. Software, design and trade-mark rights remain with Cenulinq or their respective owners. Use and research permitted by law remain possible.
Optional AI app help only explains MBC. It cannot view or change your budget and does not provide personal financial, tax or legal advice. Before sending, you separately choose processing by OpenAI through Netlify. Each question stands alone. Answers can be wrong, and usage is limited. The privacy notice explains processing. Skipping the help does not prevent ordinary app use.
14 Security and liability
For a specific security risk, demonstrated abuse or legal obligation, we may temporarily restrict access as necessary and proportionate. Where permitted, we explain why and offer a way to have the issue reviewed.
Liability is governed by law. We do not exclude statutory claims for non-performance, unlawful conduct or a privacy breach. There is no general damages cap equal to your subscription fee. A security measure does not give us an unlimited right to end a paid account.
15 Complaints and governing law
Send complaints to support@cenulinq.com with a description and, where useful, the version used. We respond within a reasonable time and explain next steps if investigation takes longer. Statutory complaint and legal remedies remain available.
Dutch law applies. As a consumer you retain protection under applicable mandatory rules, including those of your country of habitual residence where relevant. Jurisdiction is determined by the applicable legal rules.
